Robert Marchewka is a polish-german artis, belonging to the young generation of printmakers. He moves between various inspirations, which can be described as point and line phenomena, musical impressions, ornamental structures and recalls of recent world’s events and tensions.
Moving between different visual stylistics is considered by him as a need of constant exploration and learning process. His focus at printmaking, especially relief print techniques, allows him to discover this unique genre of art, allowing precision, repetition, creation of variations and building image as a deep construction.
He lives and works in Leipzig, Germany.
1995: born in Poznań
2014: begin of studes at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Faculty of Graphics
2017/2018: Erasmus+ Program: Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig
2019: master diploma in the printmaking class of Prof. Agnieszka Cieślińska-Kawecka
2019/2022: postgraduate studies at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig, tutor: Prof. Oliver Kossack
